I have purchased the 1st edition and just now got this second edition of this book. I must say it is very consistent! The topics covered in this book are unique and explained it in a layman language. Once again the author has done a great job in delivering the second part! Interesting read for whoever wants to learn further in Astrology.

A great piece of work! The amazon description is wrong though as this volume collects issues 0, 85, and 90-100 plus the 2 part Legends of the DC Universe #4-5. Amazon is using the description from Wonder Woman The Contest which only collects the 1st half of Deodato's run. This volume contains the entire run and is way more read for your dollars!

Great story and amazing art work

Wonder Woman by Mike Deodato includes Wonder Woman #85, 0, 90-100 and Legends of The DC Universe 4 &5. Amazon and Previews description is incomplete. This story arc includes The Contest and Challenge Of Artemis. Great story and amazing art work. Very 90’s. What I don’t undersatand is why place chapter 85 after chapter 100 if this one is part of the sequence of the story. The two Legends chapters are not interesting, but the art is beautiful. Love it and recommend it 100%!
Amazon send the book in an envelope instead if the usual box. The mailman bends part of the envelope to put it in a mailbox made only for letter size envelopes! Anyway, there was no damage to the book

If your a fan of wonder woman this is something u will want for your collection..this is a fantastic story that introduces us to Artemis and shows us the 2nd contest were diana is striped of the wonder woman title...Also we learn at this time the fact that on Paradise Island Diana does not have her active powers and we see how artemis reacts to having the sandals of hermes and the Gauntlet of Atlas..Now what I really love is the Costume redesign with the jacket and the look...I for one loved it and I loved the fact that even though she is not wonder woman she still has the symbol because of a pledge she made to her name sake...Fantastic

Lorena Mitrione, BCom, MBus, CPA, joined Monash University, Department of Accounting and Finance, in 2009 as a lecturer. For 12 years prior to this, she worked at CPA Australia. Since 2001 she was the CPA Program Manager responsible for the development and maintenance of CPA Program materials and examinations. In this role Lorena developed a sound sense of the requirements for accounting learning materials while maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, accounting research, technical accounting matters and business practices.

Susana Lai-Mei Yuen, PhD, MSc, MBA, CPA(Aus), FCCA, ACIS, is an Associate Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. She was a lecturer in the School of Accountancy at the Queensland University of Technology for 8 years before she returned to Hong Kong. Her teaching areas are cost and management accounting and her research interests are in cultural and behavioural issues in accounting, performance measurement, and the impact of management accounting on the organisational life cycle and strategic management of the business.

Michelle Fyfe, BCom Hon, BBus, CA, is a corporate accountant for a top 100 listed Australian company working in the corporate division producing external fi nancial reports. Prior to this she worked as a lecturer at Monash University, Department of Accounting and Finance. She has also had extensive working experience in chartered fi rms and industry within Australia and the United Kingdom. Michelle also ran a consultancy business for 2 years helping small businesses develop accounting systems and deal with current taxation regulations.

Theodor Herzl (* 2. Mai 1860 in Pest; † 3. Juli 1904 in Edlach, Gemeinde Reichenau an der Rax, Nieder�sterreich) war ein �sterreichisch-ungarischer j�discher Schriftsteller, Publizist und Journalist und der Begr�nder des modernen politischen Zionismus. She is also an ordained Priestess in the Temple of Isis/Los Angeles and a practicing Druid. Someday she hopes to get it right. Best Pagan Children's Stories EVER

If you are a Pagan, and if you have kids, I can't recommend this book enough. Each story is finely crafted in ways that are reminiscent of both myths and fairy tales. These are all original stories, and all completely enchanting.

(Oh, and if you are Pagan and you DON'T have kids, but you want to feel like one, buy this book, anyway... you won't be sorry.)

Best Introduction to Hegel's Enc. Logic

After a general beginning to which one reviewer refers, Stace gives a paraphrase of the Encyclopedia Logic. This paraphrase makes the logic not only understandable, and not only interesting, but makes it seem even important. So this book is, as far as I know, the best introduction available to Hegel's logic. I read this paraphrase many times, studying it in detail, when I first began with Hegel's logic.

Stace then gives a paraphrase to the philosophy of spirit (not the Phenomenology) which I haven't read.

British Idealism was the preeminent philosophy in the English speaking world at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. Hegel was held in high esteem. But with WWI there was a great revulsion towards all things German including Hegel. All the Hegelians, such as Russell, Dewey, Santyana, turned away from Hegel.

This book came out in the 1920s. The war was over and it was time to get back to business as usual. But with the rise of National Socialism, it soon became apparent that there would be no return to usual. This book is like a robin showing up in the middle of winter.

In the 1930s Stace was able to get a job as a teacher of ancient philosophy at an Ivey League college. A requirement for the job, though, was that he must first renounce Hegel and all his evil ways. Nonetheless, this great Hegelian Stace, needing a job in the middle of the great depression, said things to fit in with his new environment--things he knew better than to say. I'm glad this new edition, though, has come out--perhaps restoring Stace to the communion of Hegelians after his fall.

But as good an introduction as this book is to the Enc. Logic, the 21st century as become something of a golden age in the study of the Science of Logic itself. English speaking philosophy has now, inded, gotten back to business as usual, and to a very high degree--far surpassing what has gone before. At least four major works on the SL have come out in the 21st century. Perhaps the work that got things started, coming a few years early in about 1996, was Clark Butler's _Hegel's Logic_. This is a very good book, and a very good introduction to the SL for those who want to go on past the Enc. Logic.

This has to be the most comprehensive and clearly written rendition of Hegel's philosophy on the market.Without losing any depth or detail Stace,with supreme clarity, takes the reader through the intricacies of Hegel's 'Logic' and his 'philosophy of spirit'.A brilliant book,first published in 1924 and unequalled since.

Stace was professor of philosophy at Princeton and well rounded in many disciplines of philosophy. The fact that the book merited reprint encouraged me to purchase it. I'm glad I did. I'm using the commentary on the encyclopedia for reference only so I read the 120 page background section as a first introduction to Stace's work. I was impressed. He intelligently , and in a very accessible way, lays out the foundation of Hegel's philosophy: from Aristotle to Kant to objective idealism to dialectic to circle of necessity. I highly recommend the book to newcomers to Hegel an even experts will appreciate the fresh perspective.
